B330: The 2007 U.S. National Alhambra Championship. In Granada, one of the most impressive building projects of the Middle Ages has begun: the construction of Alhambra. A palace, fortress, and a small city - all-in-one - Alhambra is made up of the world's most beautiful gardens, pavilions, chambers and towers. Build the most splendorous Alhambra to be crowned the winner! Players may play in any or all of the four preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final rounds to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Session 1A of 3; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B518, B606, B677. Next Session: B727.
B331: The 2007 U.S. National B-Movie Championship - Part One: Grave Robbers From Outer Space. This special Championship will incorporate five B-Movie decks from Z-Man Games, one per preliminary round. Players may play in any or all of the five preliminary rounds. The five winners of each of the preliminary rounds will face off in the final round with the sixth deck: "Berserker Halflings from the Dungeon of Dragons" for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Session 1A of 2; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Silly, All Ages. See Also: B403, B519, B645, B752. Next Session: B828.
B332: The 2007 U.S. National Bootleggers Championship. It's January, 1921. Prohibition has been in effect for a year, and it looks like the 18th Amendment is here to stay. In Bootleggers, players take on the role of enterprising bosses seeking to make a name for themselves in the illegal alcohol trade at the height of the 1920's prohibition era. Deceit, lies, and alliances of convenience are the norm as players attempt to control distribution through money and corruption by muscling in on the competition, paying off the local law authorities, building underground speakeasies, and shipping trucks of "hooch"! Players may play in any or all of the three preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final round to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 2:00AM; Session 1A of 2; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B572, B646. Next Session: B695.
B333: The 2007 U.S. National Palabra Championship. Palabra is a combination of words, poker and rummy - guaranteed to "release your mental endorphins." Score by forming a word, a straight (an alphabetical sequence of 3 cards), a flush (5 cards in one color/suit), building on a prior word or straight, or present 6 or 7 vowels. Because of many double and triple multiplier cards, which multiply upon each other, and "color-locking" (which also doubles the score), a small word or straight can be multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, etc., and be worth 200 points or more! Stuck with a "Q," an "X," or a "Z?" Don't make a word. Put them in a straight or a flush. Did your opponent just make a 400 point combination? Don't fret. Cancel it with the "joker." Or steal any part of it for yourself. Players may play in any or all of the three preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final round to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy! Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; Session 1A of 2; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages. See Also: B453, B610. Next Session: B649.

B336: Circus Maximus. Violent and bloody, Circus Maximus details the chariot races that occurred in ancient Rome. Eight teams race around the track three times to determine victory. Players prepare for the race by selecting the composition of their team of horses, their rider's skills, and the type of chariot that will be driven. Once the race begins the players are free to do as they wish to hamper the other racers including whipping the rider, ramming chariots with scythed wheels, smashing into horses, and running over crashed opponents. Wednesday, 10:00PM - 2:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, 18 & Over ONLY.
B337: Cosmic Wimpout. The hilarious game of taking chances with dice. Will you stick with what you rolled, or will you risk Wimping Out? Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Silly, All Ages. See Also: B366, B832.
B338: Hey! That's My Fish!. In this Mayfair game, players control a number of penguins. The penguins move over hex-shaped ice tiles with 1, 2 or 3 fish on them. The player takes the hex from where the penguin started his movement from the table, thereby creating a gap which other players can't cross. If a penguin can't move, he's taken from play. The player with the most fish in the end wins. Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B795.
B339: Medici. Another Reiner Knizia standby, this game plays very well with varying numbers of people. The object is to accrue the most points during three rounds, which you do by spending your points to bid on sets of cards. Each turn the current player turns up one to three cards for all the players to bid on, with the highest bid taking all cards. The cards denote a commodity type and quantity/value. The round ends when each player's ships are full, or the commodity card deck is exhausted. After each round, points are awarded to each player having the most of a given commodity, and to the one with the most valuable total "cargo load". Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.
B340: Munchkin. Steve Jackson Games' hilarious card game in which you try to beat your opponents by being the best, er, role player you can (cough)...roughly translated into getting the most stuff, finding the most loopholes and killing the most monsters. Yeah, role playing. Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Silly, All Ages. See Also: B429.
B341: Oasis. You are the head of a Mongolian family, intent on becoming the most powerful in the land. Use your resources wisely to take control of fertile steppe lands to raise horses, build sacred temples, develop caravans of camels, and control the beautiful oases. The first player to get the right combination of roads, settlements, and special cards in this great Mayfair game wins. Wednesday, 10:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B708.
B350: Concentration. One of the simplest games at the convention, the game of Concentration puts 25 cards on the table face down - 12 sets of 2 same-value cards and 1 joker. Players flip two cards, and if they match, they get to keep them; otherwise, they get turned back down again. The joker is an instant match. A real test of memory! Wednesday, 11:00PM - 12:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages. See Also: B843.
B352: The 2007 U.S. National Carcassonne Championship. This very popular strategy game from Rio Grande Games in its fourth U.S. National Championship at DEXCON 10! The southern French city of Carcassonne is famous for its unique Roman and Medieval fortifications. The players develop the area around Carcassonne and deploy their followers on the roads, in the cities, in the cloisters, and in the fields. In this new card game from Atlas Games, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. You want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. You'll play horrible mishaps like Pursued by Poodles or Mocked by Midgets on your own characters to lower their Self-Worth scores, while trying to cheer your opponents' characters with marriages and other happy occasions that pile on positive points. The player with the lowest total Family Value wins. Note that this Championship will be played with both expansion sets (6-player games). Players may play in any or all of the three preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. The winner at each table will advance to the final round to play for the U.S. National Championship title and a trophy. Wednesday, 12:00AM - 2:00AM; Session 1A of 2; All Materials Provided. The players enter the front door and race to be the first to reach the exit. It's not as easy as it sounds. Half the time the players choose their own path. The other half their paths are chosen randomly by opponents. Additionally, the board elements constantly change as the game progresses. This Championship will use the expansion set. Players may play in either or both of the two preliminary sessions, but may only qualify once. Each player assumes a secret mask with hidden VP-bonus, and sends out a "dancer" to fulfill various functions at 6 different "stages" (or rather "adventure places"). Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets - goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route. Wednesday, 12:00AM - 2:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.

B367: Masons. New from Rio Grande, a tense castle-building game about points and palaces. In the middle ages, the best living was to be found behind the protection of nice thick castle walls and towers. But once they're standing, you can take your time building houses and palaces behind them. And if that goes especially well, the castles grow and merge with each other. To accomplish that, you only need some tactical skill and the right cards. But watch out: You need to sense when the best time to play your cards is in order to score the most points. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.
B368: St. Petersburg Training Session. In the early 18th century Czar Peter helped build St. Petersburg. Thursday, 9:00AM - 11:00AM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners ONLY; Fun, All Ages.
B370: Caylus. Once upon a time...1289. To strengthen the borders of the Kingdom of France, King Philip the Fair decided to have a new castle built. For the time being, Caylus is but a humble village, but soon, workers and craftsmen will be flocking by the cartload, attracted by the great prospects. Around the building side, a city is slowly rising up. The players embody master builders. By building the King's castle and developing the city around it, they earn prestige points and gain the King's favor. When the castle is finished, the player who has earned the most prestige wins the game. Thursday, 10:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B692.

B375: Basari. Several games use the 'rock-paper-scissors' mechanism, but this Out of the Box game is perhaps one of the best. During a turn, players choose one of three different actions to perform. The choices are revealed simultaneously, and if only one player chose a particular action, he simply performs that action. Otherwise players may have to either negotiate for the right to perform the action or just not perform any action that turn. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.
B376: Blokus. In this abstract strategy with transparent, tetris-shaped, colored pieces players try to get rid of all their pieces. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Serious, All Ages. See Also: B579.
B377: Palazzo. Who will build the most magnificent palace? In the game of Palazzo, set in the age of the late Renaissance, the players slip on the roles of wealthy landowners, who compete against each other to build the most valuable palaces. As their constructions grow, the players must choose from the available palace modules from the quarries, so they can add to their palaces. Of course, none of this building can be done without money, so sometimes a player must take time out to earn some money so he can afford to continue his building projects. Thursday, 11:00AM - 1:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.
B378: Pit. Parker Brothers' hilarious card game of tradable stocks. Players try to collect a complete run of a given commodity while trading with each other in REAL TIME. B380: Alhambra Training Session. In this special training session, you will learn to play this popular game from Rio Grande Games and be ready to compete in Championship rounds! See Also: B507.
B387: Coloretto. Friends of "quick and easy, but fun" card games may rejoice! Collect columns of colors, but beware of too many - too much diversity brings negative points! B388: Prolix. Prolix is a unique word game that is being considered for publication. In the game, players score points by coming up with words whose letters match those of the Letter Chips on the board. Unlike other word games, you don't need all the letters of the word to be on the board to use that word. This means that you are free to use all those words you always wanted to use in other word games, but were always one tile or card short! Of course, the letters in your word won't score if they aren't on the board, so even huge words can be stinkers if you don't use them at the right time. Thursday, 2:00PM - 4:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages.
B389: Stock Rush. Stock Rush is a Strategy Board Game that uses an Interactive Device called the "Market Display". PLAYERS WATCH THEIR STOCKS FALL, RISE, CRASH and SKYROCKET... The player who causes the cauldron to go over 13 must take all of the cards within it, trying to avoid taking a potion mixed with poison. Be the player with either the most or none of any potion and you're safe - otherwise take the risk of receiving a deadly dose of poison! Thursday, 4:00PM - 6:00PM; One Session; All Materials Provided. Beginners Welcome; Fun, All Ages. See Also: B653.

If your card is to be the 6th, you pick up the 5 cards in the row, and your 6th card goes to the front to restart the row. The cards you pick up do not go into your hand, but sit in front of you to score against you at the end of the round. Play rounds until someone hits -66 and the least lowest score wins.
